Senior Embedded Software engineer

Curvalux is poised to play a significant role globally in providing much needed extremely high-speed services to rural areas as well as competition to fiber in urban areas. 

 

As an embedded software engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative products. You will be responsible to drive key aspects of product definition, design, optimization, implementation, and test. You must be responsive, flexible, attentions to details and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

In this role, you will be leading the SW and FW development, including:

•    Use your top-notch software development expertise to inspire others to develop better software practices and principles.
•    Work with requirements and prototypes from cross-teams (e.g. R&D, Software, HW, etc.) to implement embedded software systems.
•    Interface with the Electrical Engineering team to help program and bring up embedded hardware.
•    Work with Software Engineers to integrate such embedded systems with the overall system such as NMS.

 

Required Qualifications

•    B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required. 
•    7+ years of experience writing software for embedded microcontrollers
•    Experience with embedded controllers’ development, including component datasheet reading, embedded programming and code writing, HW and SW debugging. 
•    Experience with real-time constraints and hardware interfaces (e.g. SPI, UART, I2C, USB, ETH and MQTT, Ethernet). 
•    Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles including requirements gathering, software design, source control management, build processes, code reviews, testing methods.

RFIC Design Director

Curvalux is poised to play a significant role globally in providing much needed extremely high-speed broadband connectivity to rural areas.

As a RFIC Design director, you are going to be responsible for providing RFIC wireless solutions for high frequency up to 30Ghz and driving them to mass production. 
You are expected to be hands-on of design work and will be engaged with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative product solutions. You must be responsive, flexible, attentions to details and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Responsibility includes:

•    Drive and enhance RFIC design methodology (system-level mixed-signal verification, RF chip/package/board de-sense) to achieve first-pass silicon success
•    Working with the product and engineering teams to determine RFIC requirements
•    Leading the architectural definition, design, simulation, layout, extracted simulation for transmit and receive front ends from the data converters to LNAs and PAs. 
•    Work with cross-functional teams including platform architecture, wireless design, SW to define radio features enabling wireless innovation
•    Actively engage with various technology vendors to decide on the process node
•    Perform detailed radio bring-up/characterization and work with systems integration/test to solve issues and optimize wireless system performance

 

Required Qualifications:

•    Master’s / PhD degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or related field
•    10+ years of experience in RFIC design
•    Proven track record where products have gone from Chip inception to mass production
•    Deep understanding of RF CMOS implementation fundamentals, and basic building blocks, including LNAs, mixers, VCOs and DCOs, LO and PAs.
•    Deep understanding of RF device modeling, including but not limited to device noise parameters, inductor modeling. Insights into packaging effects, supply isolation, high frequency ESD structures, and circuit layout techniques for optimum RF performance.
•    Experience with mm-wave layout techniques and optimization
•    Familiarity with various RF transceiver architectures and their trade-offs; demonstrated capability to work with digital design group for an optimum partition between digital and analog domain.
•    Experience with physical design and verification, passive component design using industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and HFSS, EMX

Senior Wireless validation engineer

Curvalux products includes multi discipline hardware and software integrated products. Therefore, a substantial focus is put in the products integration and validation. 

As a Senior system validation engineer, you will lead the validation of the product including:

•    Lead the performance measurements for the product sub-systems: RF, Analog, digital, embedded software, GUI, software.
•    Work with R&D teams to verify good connectivity between system blocks.
•    Automatic test station design and programming of testing scripts writing in C, C++, python.
•    Support the transition from design to production.
•    Lead the product certification (FCC, ETSI, UL, CE)
•    Supporting R&D in prototype phase and applying acceptance test reports.

 

Required Qualifications:

•    B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
•    7+ years of experience in similar role in the telecommunication industry.
•    Experience with Wifi 802.11AX or similar development and validation is a must

You will be responsible to drive key aspects of product definition, design, optimization, implementation, and test. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and integration of RF and Antenna systems into products, including:

•    Design point-to-point and point to multi point wireless links with respect to path loss, calculating the effect of Fresnel zones, transmission line loss, and antenna gains.
•    Define requirements, perform functional decomposition, develop system architecture designs, manage risks, and verify requirements for RF subsystems and components.
•    Analyze and simulate RF system performance including cascaded chain analysis for EVM, IP2, IP3, and NF
•    Characterize Tx / Rx performance of the full system, including components such as dual band FEMs, LNAs & Pas
•    Provide support to compliance labs for regulatory certifications (FCC/MIC/IC/ETSI )
•    Provide design documentation, write technical reports, and make technical presentations.

Required Qualifications:

•    10+ years of proven hands-on experience in embedded system analog board design.
•    Proven experience in analog system definition.

In this role, you will be responsible for the system architecture of our innovative RF and Antenna systems into products, including:

•    Lead the system architecture of our innovative wireless products.
•    Define the hardware networking solution, writing system specifications, leading of software, hardware development.
•    Designing systems and solutions, including live deployments with large customers.
•    Define, coordinate, and technically lead the system architecture requirements and process with multi-disciplinary leaders RF/ SW/FW/HW
•    Lead projects and features from idea to production.

As a Senior Communication Algorithm engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative products. You will be responsible to drive key aspects of algorithms definition, design, optimization, implementation, and test. You must be responsive, flexible, attentions to details and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development algorithms and simulation for the next generation products including:

•    Researching and developing new algorithms communication signal processing algorithms for best-in-class implementation of various wireless standards
•    Perform mathematical analyses of the given problem and its proposed solutions. 
•    Write detailed design documents that will enable implementation of algorithms by other teams specializing in either RTL design or DSP firmware coding. 
•    Optimize and fine-tune the system for spec compliance in an RF lab environment.
•    Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations 
•    Collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers to realize algorithms with efficient implementation.

 

Required Qualifications:

•    M.S.C/PH.D in engineering or equivalent work experience required. 
•    At least 10 years of experience in communications algorithms and DSP architectures
